WHAT WE DID IN CLASS TODAY

  • réfléchi : something you do to / by yourself
  • IMPORTANT : only some verbs, for now only the ones conjugated and listed in the chapter on p. 116
• Répétez la conjugaison
  • me, te, se before m’, t’, s’ before vowel or mute h
  • Répétez les verbes
  • se lever : in the boot, accents graves

  • Use an expression with faire (for example, p. 105 or use other ones based on what you see there), conjugate the verb correctly

How to use jouer and faire with sports, games, and music (p. 118)

• For jouer, it depends on the activity

• jouer + (à + article) + sport/game
  • au, à la, à l’, aux
  • Exemple : Je joue au tennis. Je joue aux cartes

• jouer + (de + article) + music/instrument
  • du, de la, de l’, des
  • Exemple : Je joue de la guitare. Je joue de l’accordéon.

•  Quick exercise : p. 106, ex. 14. avec un partenaire

Le futur proche :  aller + infinitif

• p. 120 Repeat expressions, examples
• Note the structure is similar to English :
je vais (=I’m going) regarder (=to watch) -> Je vais regarder (I’m going to watch)
• the négatif : je ne vais pas regarder la télé, etc.
• p. 120, ex. 12, individuellement
