WHAT WE DID IN CLASS

-Er verbs and activities

    • j’aime + infinitif (the second verb is in the -er form: to dance, to listen)

Definite articles

    • les is the definite article

    • “the”
    • general ideas or general preferences (with verbs like adorer, aimer, détester, etc.)
    • singular : le or la, both become l’ in front of a vowel or mute h
    • plural : les (pronounce the liaison with -s in front of a vowel or mute h)

    • Listen to the intonation (tone of voice) and decide if each sentence you hear is a question or not.
    • With a partner, pronounce a question or a statement — she or he has to decide whether what you said was a question or statement
