Information Technology Services will conduct an upgrade of our telecommunications infrastructure this summer. The upgrade will provide several benefits including: improved reporting and analytics for call centers, additional support for voice-over-IP (VOIP), lower monthly operating costs, decreased capital expenditures for equipment replacement, security upgrades and future savings related to cloud-based technologies.
Major components of the upgrade project will be performed during periods of low-call volumes in order to minimize campus impact. No hardware changes will be made to office phones as part of this upgrade. Updates and additional information will be provided when the project plan is finalized and we near the implementation dates.
