Hooks Fellow to Participate in a Reading on Whiteness

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, Hooks academic research fellow Dr. Kathy Lou Schultz will participate in a reading from Robin Tremblay-McGaw’s in-process poem/essay project, “Benjamin Moore’s White” and in a discussion of the construction of whiteness in art and films and other cultural productions. Dr. Schultz is also the Catherine and Charles Freeburg University Professor and Director of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the University of Memphis.

The event starts at 12:15pm PDT (2:15 CST) and is hosted by the Center for the Arts & Humanities at Santa Clara University, as part of the Center’s Spring Fellows Series. For more information about the event and to register, click here.
