Audience: Current UofM Students
Objective: Learn how to perform a system check to ensure that your device and browser are compatible with D2L and how to use your UUID/password to access your online course.
PERFORM A BROWSER CHECK
Our online courses are delivered via a learning management system called Desire2Learn. Before you access the system, please run the system check on your computer to verify that your computer and browser meet the system’s minimum requirements.
The system check is designed to ensure your computer system is properly configured for our web courses. It verifies your browser version, browser settings, and the display settings on your computer.
ACCESS YOUR COURSE
If you have registered for online courses, they will be unavailable until the FIRST Day of Class for the semester that you have registered. To access your courses, go to www.elearn.memphis.edu and enter your UofM username and password to log in.
Your username is your Universal User ID.
The Universal User ID (UUID) is the username shared among various university services. Your UUID forms your e-mail address as follows: UUID@memphis.edu. A student’s UUID is created upon admission to the University. Information outlining the steps to initialize the UUID is mailed along with your acceptance letter. This letter contains a twenty-character account activation code used with the University’s Identity Management System (iAM).
All currently enrolled students automatically have a UUID created. Anyone who needs assistance with determining their UUID should contact the IT Service Desk at 901-678-8888 or https://helpdesk.memphis.edu.
