The What if Function on UMDegree allows you to preview a program change before you decide to make it official.  Some examples of program changes would be updating or back dating the catalog, changing or adding a major or minor. The What if function allows both you and the student to see the remaining course requirements and if any previously taken courses will apply to the new major or minor. For advisors, this is helpful is determining whether or not to move a student to a new catalog.
