Activités en classe —

•We reviewed the imparfait and talked about France’s education system.

• Révision — comment former l’imparfait, verbe regarder

Quand j’étais petit je ______________ souvent la télé (regardais)

• p. 250 — Autres mots important de l’imparfait

•il doit = he must
•il devait = he was supposed to
•il faut = it’s necessary, I/you/etc. must
•ll fallait = it was necessary, I/you/etc. had to

•Discrimination orale — écoutez et décidez si c’est PRÉSENT, PASSÉ COMPOSÉ, IMPARFAIT

•écouter: j’écoutais j’ai écouté j’écoute
•finir: nous finissons nous avons fini nous finissions
•partir: vous partiez vous êtes parti vous partez

• p. 232 — Prononcez. Together and with a partner

•Don’t forget boot forms (je, tu, il, ils) for the endings of the imparfait are all pronounced the same (for example il parlait sounds exactly the same as ils parlaient)

•The -ent on the present tense is silent (for example, for ils parlent, you don’t pronounce the -ent)
