Dr. John G. Morgan, Chancellor of the Tennessee Board of Regents, invited Dr. Beverly Cross to serve on the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Presidential search.
The Chancellor’s letter to Dr. Cross 
indicated the “Advisory Committee is appointed for the purpose of assisting the Chancellor by reviewing the applicant pool, selecting a number of applicants for first-round interviews, determining the final candidates, and participating in other campus meetings with the finalists as appropriate.”
