Reza Nouri

Reza Nouri is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Memphis. He joined the team in August 2023. Reza obtained his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 2023 from Tennessee Tech University, where he started his academic journey in 2019. Currently, as a team member, he is working on the Cavitation Erosion project, with the goal of reducing the wear and tear of propellers.
During his doctoral journey, Reza made significant contributions to the field. He developed an application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in turbulent flows to predict upstream boundary conditions using downstream velocity fields.
His research interests include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), wind energy, machine learning techniques, turbulence, and programming.
