The STEM Research and Classroom Building (SCRB) will provide vital active learning classrooms, research labs and learning hubs that leverage innovative technology and adapt to changing industry demands. The building will also streamline faculty offices from relevant departments, helping students connect more seamlessly with professors and staff. Above all, the SRCB will support enhanced learning activities designed to encourage and inspire more students to pursue the integral STEM disciplines that are fueling the 21st century workforce.
The SRCB advances the UofM’s mission to become Tennessee’s premier urban research university. For the first time, the Herff College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences will share a common space where faculty and student minds can come together to integrate and expand on existing and future collaborations.
