In our college we need students to apply at the beginning of the semester a year before they plan to graduate, so now is the time to apply Summer or Fall 2015 or Spring 2016.

The University’s deadline to apply for August 2015 is Wednesday, April 8.  If you intend to graduate in August, you MUST apply by April 8.

The University’s deadline to apply for December 2015 is July 15, 2015, which is in the middle of the summer.  Go ahead and apply now for December 2015 so you do not forget!

Applying is easy and free.  Go to myMemphis, click on the My Degree tab, and then follow the steps in the Commencement channel.

Today is the last day for students to drop any full session classes on their myMemphis portal.  Students have until midnight to drop.

Some students need to be full-time for scholarship or financial aid purposes, so check with these offices before you drop- Scholarships- scholarships@memphis.edu – 678-3213, Financial Aid –financialaid@memphis.edu, 678-4825.

AFTER the drop deadline, students must request approval for withdrawing from classes, which is only allowed for unforeseeable circumstances, and usually means dropping ALL courses.

A Step Ahead Scholars is a scholarship available to any 17 – 30 year old female Shelby County resident with plans to pursue a career in medicine, public health, social services, or cosmetology.

Preference will be given to applicants with the expressed intentions of using their education to help the greater Memphis community, and the desire to lower rates of teen and unintended pregnancy in the greater Memphis area.
