Dec. 12, 2025 ̶ ̶ The University of Memphis will watch 2,189 students walk the stage at FedExForum on Saturday, Dec. 13, for its fall commencement. This includes 485 graduates from the August commencement. As of 2025, the University will merge the two ceremonies to include graduates from both August and December.
Of the degrees being awarded, 1,350 are bachelor’s, 600 master’s, 138 graduate certificates, 97 doctorates and four (4) juris doctorates.
Commencement speaker is R.A. “Rick” Spell (’81). A former Managing Director at Raymond James and current President of the Memphis Athletic Foundation at the UofM, Spell also leads the Spell Restaurant Group and remains deeply engaged in civic and University initiatives.
Commencement will be held at FedExForum in Downtown Memphis. The ceremony schedule is as follows:

Guest Parking Information: Parking is available first-come/first-available in the FedExForum Garage (FedExForum Gossett Motors Garage, 195 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Ave, Memphis, TN 38103) for $10.00. Parking must be paid via credit card. Guests will need to have a credit card to pay for parking in the FedExForum Garage. No cash accepted. More parking options can be found on UofM’s Commencement Office website.
Family and Guests Entrance: Guests will enter from the Grand Lobby doors that are in front of South B.B. King Blvd. Families and Guests will exit from the 4-6 doors closest to the Memphis Grizzlies Team Store in the Grand Lobby. Guests may meet up with the students in the Gossett Motors parking garage or the front plaza. Guests: Speak to graduate(s) prior to the ceremony to ensure you meet up and find each other at the end of the ceremony.
