Dr. Jennifer Miles Named Executive Director for University of Memphis Lambuth

May 19, 2025  ̶  ̶ ̶  The University of Memphis announced Dr. Jennifer Miles as the new Executive Director for the University of Memphis Lambuth, effective June 1.  

“I am very excited to be joining the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus,” said Miles. “This is an exciting time for the Lambuth Campus, and I am thrilled to serve as Executive Director.” 

Miles brings 30 years of experience providing vision and leadership to higher education institutions.

She has served in roles at Nova Southeastern University, Widener University, the University of Arkansas and Mississippi University for Women, the last of which she served as vice president for student affairs and enrollment management, as well as professor of educational leadership.  

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Miles to the University of Memphis community,” said UofM Provost Dr. David Russomanno. “Her experience as a leader in higher education will greatly benefit our Lambuth Campus, where we will continue creating successful outcomes for students and developing the future workforce in West Tennessee.” 

Most recently, Miles held the position of vice president of student services at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss., where she oversaw all of student services and enrollment, including but not limited to athletics, housing and mental health services. 

As a leader, Miles believes strongly in collaboration, visibility and empowering the local community to become involved with university life.  

Higher education leaders must be visible, and able to share their institution’s story and clearly articulate the good work being done on campus,” Miles said. “I am personally invested in the continued success of our students. The University has a strong commitment to successful outcomes for every student, and I am excited to work with the UofM’s faculty and staff in the pursuit of sustained enrollment success.” 

A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Miles attended Florida State University where she received a BS in Communication. She holds an MA and EdD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama.
