May 14, 2025 ̶ ̶ ̶ The University of Memphis is primed to host this year’s meeting of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) Southeast Region. The event will bring dozens of researchers to UofM’s Central Campus to share best practices in the pursuit of external research funding.
“We’re very excited to convene thought leaders and research development professionals from across the region,” said Dr. Cody Behles, executive director of Research Development and Innovation at UofM. “This meeting is about collaboration, innovation and equipping institutions to better support the research enterprise.”
Several of the agenda items for the meeting will be timely issues, such as leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance research development services and navigating changes in the federal grant landscape. Participating institutions range from fellow R1 institutes to HBCUs and medical research facilities.
