UofM Lambuth M. D. Anderson Planetarium Announces March and Spring Break Schedule

Feb. 17, 2024 — The University of Memphis Lambuth M. D. Anderson Planetarium has announced its schedule of shows for March:

  • Tuesday, March 4, 5:30 p.m. – Oasis in Space
  • Friday, March 7, 1:30 p.m. – Oasis in Space
  • Tuesday, March 11, 5:30 p.m. – Seeing
  • Friday, March 14, 1:30 p.m. – Seeing
  • Friday, March 14, 3:45 p.m. – Kids’ After School Special Planetarium Show – Astronaut
  • Tuesday, March 18, 5:30 p.m. – Big Astronomy
  • Friday, March 21, 1:30 p.m. – Big Astronomy
  • Saturday, March 22, 9:30 a.m. – Kids’ Saturday Morning Planetarium Show – Two Small Pieces of Glass
  • Tuesday, March 25, 5:30 AND 6:30 p.m. – Cosmic Castaways
  • Friday, March 28, 1:30 p.m. – Cosmic Castaways
The inside of the M.D. Anderson Planetarium on the Lambuth Campus

The planetarium will also present a special series of shows for kids for the week of Jackson-Madison County Public Schools spring break — Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21. Shows will be presented at 3 p.m., and include Capcom GO!; Tales of the Maya Skies; Max Goes to the Moon; Astronaut; and Two Small Pieces of Glass.

Doors open 15 minutes before showtime. For safety reasons, there is no seating once the IN USE lights are on. No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium. Presentations are free to groups and individuals, with free parking in the conveniently located Hyde lot.
