Our blog welcomes authors from all institutions. If you are associated with the University of Memphis, you can create a profile. If you are not, we will add your author bio manually.
First Step
You should sign up for a week to have your blog go live here: Blog sign up sheet.xlsx
University of Memphis Users
- Everyone associated with the UofMemphis needs to go there and add your info to your profile!
- Then you need to go to the blogs.memphis.edu site and log in with your UofM ID.
- Once in, simply pull down the menu on the right-hand side of the page under your username and select edit profile.
- Open the location of your profile picture on your drive (.jpeg, .gif, or .png files are allowed).
- Widen the box to make it match your image size and select upload!
- Yeah! You just added your profile picture!
- Next go back to the profile page and insert your bio information, add your own web page if you have it, etc.
Other Users
Include your bio and profile picture at the bottom of your blog entry.
Target Audience
Teachers, school administrators and other educated professionals who are not familiar with the specifics or the language of our research.
Instructions for Submission
Write your blog in MSWord and submit it in this folder (SUBMISSIONS) at least three to four weeks before your estimated date of publication.
Format
- Pieces of approximately 600 words in plain language
- Explainers
- One concept
- One new finding
- Pictures – explained
- No more than 3 facts per blog entry
- Naming format Date_of_Publication_ Your_Name (start date with year)
- Example 2022_03_15_Elena_Delavega
