Activités en classe —

• p. 178 : Les infos se transforment.

•Discussion de sources d’informations en français. Young people in France generally like using the Internet to get their news. Many newspapers (journaux) have online news.

•Here are some news sources I mentioned.

journaux = newspapers, journal télévisé = TV newscast, la radio, des magazines, des sites Web
• http://www.lemonde.fr, French newspaper (center-left politically)
• http://www.lefigaro.fr, French newspaper (center-right politically)
• For learners: RFI’s Journal en français facile (site) podcast or online archive has news with scripts so you can listen and read along.
• http://tv5.org has news, activities, and special lessons for learners of French, for example activities here: http://enseigner.tv5monde.com
France24 http://france24.com comme CNN mais français (ils diffusent en anglais, en français, et en arabe)

Révision (review)

  • Review for Test. The content and formats on the review are NOT exactly what’s on the test, but give you a good idea what to study. If you can do the sorts of things that are on the review, you should do well on the test.

DEVOIRS, Annonces, etc. —

• À faire (to do)

•The test for Module 6 will be Wednesday. See Révision/review exercises above.

Optional corrected version of Expression écrite for Module 6 due Friday. You can earn a few points on your composition by correcting or making any other suggested changes. If you have questions please let me know.

• Annonces

Extra credit — Tuesday (Mardi gras celebration) and Tournées Film Festival at Rhodes on Tuesday and Wednesday. See the Points bonus section for details on these.

Study abroad — A meeting Monday, Feb. 8 at 2:15 pm in Jones 249 for anyone interested in studying abroad in Lille, France this summer or in the future. Flyer here.

• Free tutoring hours — the Plus… section of the site has hours and locations.

• If you missed any previous classes, don’t forget to check what we did — previous posts below list what we did, what the homework was, etc. (and whenever you’re absent, you should always check the Archives to see what we did in class, what HW is coming up, etc. The Archives are usually updated by 9pm after class.)

• If you have any questions, please contact me. À bientôt !
