This semester I have learned a lot regarding the internet. Since I do not interact in SNSs, communities or basically anything on the internet I have learned a lot. I can say that I have learned a lot more linguistic language, acronyms and abbreviations. This was a very interesting class and I really learn that I am very different from other people because I seem to be the only one in the class that does not interact in SNSs, communities etc.
This class has opened my knowledge more regarding the internet and changed a lot of my perceptions. Although I do not feel that I would join SNSs or a community however, this class did make me more knowledge about the topics. I enjoyed the knowledge regarding bridging and bond because I actually never looked at things that way. My knowledge regarding the use of cell phones was confirmed. The blog conversations, readings and the class itself helped me a lot in my research class because I am writing a paper regarding the use of online language. I feel that I understand the impact of the internet on life better because of this class. Overall I really enjoyed the class.
I think it’s very interesting that you do not use SNSs. Did you delete any previous SNSs or were you never interested in them? I agree. I never looked at the internet as a bonding/bridging method. Although I knew that’s how people were connecting and interacting, it’s nice to put terminology to it. I’m glad you got a lot out of this class. I learned a lot as well.
I never was interested in SNSs. I have learned a lot about how they work and how people present themselves. I also never looked at them as a bonding/bringing method but I guess they have been since some people find love on them.
Few years a go I was forced from my family members who live in all over the world to join them of Facebook. In the beginning I was not interested because I was not crazy about following the highest tech and be always up to date. However, when I start actively participated with the group I found it very convenient, easy way to connet myself with my old friends and family members. Today, I admit that it is a great experince that got me back to my social life that makes me happier and more creative.
I also learned a lot more about the internet than I even thought I would know or that I had any idea that existed. I learned that many more people use cell phones and the internet than I ever realized. Also, before I took this class, I had only heard complaints about online sites like Facebook or Twitter. Now, however, I’ve learned that many friendships and relationships can start because of Facebook. I firmly believe this proves that ignorance about a topic can be a dangerous thing. In the end, this class has taught me much and it has been a worthwhile experience.
