A goal is the result of hard work and effort. Goals should not be easily met, but rather they should be something that is accomplished over time. With this in mind, let’s think about our leadership goals.
The best way to achieve any goal is to begin with the end in mind. We will be using EXCEL to create a roadmap for success.
Leadership Goal Activity
1.) To begin your assignment, go to row 10 of the spreadsheet and highlight all of the columns from A to O.
2.) After all of the columns are highlighted hit merge and center.
3.) Right click on the merged cells and fill them in with a color of your choosing.
4.) Go to cell A9 and type in the word START in capital letters and then use the bold feature.
5.) In cell A11 put in today’s date.
6.) Right click on the number 9 and adjust the row height to 60, do the same with row 11.
7.) In cell O9 type in the word GOAL in capital letters and use the bold feature.
8.) In cell O11 enter your goal. You will more than likely have to hit the wrap feature so you can see your goal on the spreadsheet in entirety.
9.) In C11, E9, G,11, I9, K11, and M9 enter a step that will allow you to achieve your leadership goal.
10.) Select the wrap the text option, and then rotate the text on an angle, counterclockwise.
11.) Add a graphic that represents each step in box C9, E11, G9, I11, K9 and M11.
12.) Highlight cells E3-K3 and merge the cells.
13.) Add the title, Leadership Goal by (insert your name).
14.) Center and bold the text.
Your leadership goal is now finished!
