Work ethic, confidence, and resiliency are some of the most powerful driving forces any human being can possess. What do they mean? According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary the definitions are as follows:
work ethic: a belief in work as a moral good
confidence: a feeling or consciousness of one’s powers or of reliance on one’s circumstances
resiliency: an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change
Let’s have some fun with this assignment! Please select your favorite cartoon character. Create a one page paper that shows a picture of your character, and the reasons why you think he or she possesses these qualities!

The cartoon character that exemplifies the qualities of work ethic, confidence, and resiliency best to me is the Walt Disney character Cinderella. Throughout this fairy tale, we learn of her unfortunate situation, how a positive attitude helped her to cope with the situation, and how in the end, goodness prevailed.
After losing her mother, and then her father, Cinderella, was forced to live with a wicked step-mother. Part of her daily responsibilities around her home were to do an unfair number of chores such as scrubbing floors and waiting on her stepmother and stepsisters. Even though the work is not pleasant, Cinderella uses the time to make friends with animals in the palace and to do the best job she can.
All throughout, Cinderella stays confident that her life can and will get better. She spends ever extra minute preparing a dress for herself to go to the ball. She is confident in both the beauty that she possesses on the inside and out. The feeling deep inside of her is that life can and will get better for her. After the arrival of her fairy godmother who transforms her dress, it is clear that
There is no better example of resiliency than Cinderella. Despite all of her setbacks, she never gives up hope. No matter what comes in her direction, she bounces back and does not give up. Her perception of focusing on the good even in the worst of circumstances is a testament of her ability to continue to look for ways to make her life better.
