The musical is based on the cult classic novel by Ned Vizzini, which inspired the Broadway musical about main character Jeremy Heere, a social outcast who struggles to fit in at high school. Heere is introduced to a “SQUIP” — a “super quantum unit intel processor” — in the form of a pill that would increase his popularity. The music and lyrics are by Joe Iconis, and the book is by Joe Tracz.
Tickets for adults are $25. Senior tickets are $20, Theatre and Dance alumni tickets are $10, and tickets for current U of M students are free (one per student). Students can buy one ticket for a non-Memphis student guest for $20.
