Welcome to the Department of Biological Sciences blog. First, a little about us. The Department of Biological Sciences is housed in two buildings; Ellington Hall and the Life Sciences building (Check the map below for locations). The research of our faculty and graduate students covers five broad research areas including (1) Physiology and Behavior, (2) Cell and Molecular Biology, (3) Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics, (4) Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology, and (5) Biology Education Research. Centers and Programs that support our research endeavors include the W. Harry Feinstone Center for Genomic Research and the Integrated Microscopy Center (housed in the Life Sciences Building), the Bioinformatics Program, and the Edward J. Meeman Biological Station in nearby Millington, TN.
