Teaching Experience and Accomplishments

My most recent accomplishment has been developing and teaching the first online French course at the University of Memphis in Fall 2018. I was also nominated for the 2018 Thomas W. Briggs Excellence in Teaching Award. In addition to the basic language courses listed below and more advanced topics (translation, pedagogy, technology, etc.) I have overseen our French section’s transition from a traditional program for our basic language sequence to a more communicative teaching approach, based on Comprehensible Input (VanPatten and others) and a customized version of ACTFL’s “Can-Do” statements.
